Fellow activist,
Before we share about Tuesday’s results, we wanted to express how incredibly grateful we are for your support.
Pennsylvania voters are powerful, and that strength was made evident by last night’s judicial election results. The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) celebrates the tremendous wins for all three Supreme Court justices and also the two judges who were standing for retention, on both the Superior and Commonwealth Courts. As a voting rights organization, NPP was proud to support the retention of Justices Wecht, Dougherty, and Donohue, and Judges Wojcik and Beck Dubow.
NPP founding CEO Kadida Kenner said, “As long as we have the vote, we have hope. In a time where voters feel the U.S. Supreme Court has let them down, PA state courts have been our firewall, protecting our voting rights, access to abortion, and ensuring equitably funded public schools. Pennsylvania voters cast their ballots and voted yes to retain our judges and justices for another 10-year term, even when billionaires were attempting to disrupt our nonpartisan retention elections with their dark money and disinformation campaigns.”
As one of the few organizations that knocked on doors for this General Election, the staff of NPP knocked on more than 15,000 doors in the last two weeks in Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks, Beaver, Allegheny, Erie, York, Dauphin, Lehigh, and Northampton counties, and made phone calls to voters we helped register to vote in 2025. Additionally, in the last few months, NPP held more than 25 community town halls and judicial civics education events across the Commonwealth, from Westmoreland to Wayne counties, with several stops in between, including virtual presentations.
We worked tirelessly to ensure that voters understood what was at stake and turned out to make their voices heard for fair and independent courts. We couldn’t have done this without your support.
Talk soon,
Team NPP
Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
