John,

It has been nearly a month since the Trump-brokered ceasefire went into effect. The fighting has – thankfully – mostly stopped and the living hostages have been returned to Israel, as have most of the deceased hostages. Yet, we’ve seen few signs of progress towards the next stages of President Trump’s 20-point plan to end the war and rebuild Gaza.

What will it take to see progress towards the next phases? What are we to make of Hamas’ purge of its domestic opponents in light of the plan’s call for them to disarm and no longer govern Gaza? Does President Trump have the political will to push the parties to keep executing his road map?

To answer these questions and more, New Jewish Narrative and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights invite you to a webinar with Dr. Gershon Baskin to unpack what’s happening on the ground and the prospects for progress.

RSVP now. The webinar will take place on November 18 at noon Eastern.

Dr. Baskin is uniquely positioned to speak on these issues. His decades of experience in back-channel negotiations and peacebuilding, including as a mediator for the deal that freed Gilad Shalit in 2011, provide him with a broad network of contacts in the Israeli security establishment and among Palestinian leaders.

I’ll be leading the webinar together with Rabbi Esther Lederman, a board member of NJN and T’ruah. I hope that you will join us.
