Last night, our inbox filled with messages from Georgia teams in our Contest Every Race grants program.
“We’re over the moon.”
“Our turnout rate was higher than the state’s.”
“You were instrumental in helping us recruit candidates and run successful races.”
These messages didn’t come from Atlanta or Athens. They came from our teams in rural communities dominated by MAGA extremism and too often left behind by national leaders. Through our grants program, we’ve helped these local Democrats organize year-round, recruit candidates, and rebuild their local parties from the ground up.
Every hour we wait, we lose momentum. Chip in $25 now to help us deploy new grants and lock in the next wave of Democratic wins.
That work paid off. Here are the results from just a few of our teams in deep-red Georgia:
- In Columbia County, statewide Democratic candidates earned a majority for the first time this century.
- In Morgan County, voters swung 14 points toward Democrats from 2024, and the local party nearly doubled its turnout goal.
- In Monroe County, Democrats won a city-council seat and came within 32 votes of flipping another.
- In Spalding County, Democrats flipped a county-commission seat, electing a young LGBTQ+ leader.
Together, these grassroots wins paved the way for Democrats to elect two new Public Service Commissioners — the first Democratic wins for Georgia statewide constitutional offices since 2006.
And Georgia isn’t alone. In New Jersey, Virginia, and across the country, our grants program helped deliver big wins for Democrats up and down the ballot.
With 2026 candidate filing periods already open in key states, we need to start the next wave today. Expanding our grants program means more counties doing the work — more local candidates, more organizers, and more victories in places where Democrats don’t usually run.
Filing deadlines for critical 2026 states are already around the corner. Chip in $25 or more today to make sure last night’s wins are just the start.
Last night proved it: when we invest early, every community can turn the tide.
