John, it's Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson, here to say I could not be prouder of Maine after last night.
We sent a clear, definitive message that in Maine, we believe that every single eligible voter deserves to have their voice heard at the ballot box.
Mainers saw through this cynical attack on our freedom to vote. We know absentee voting is trusted, secure, and part of our way of life — and we refused to let extremists take it away.
Republicans think they can distract us by focusing on what tears us apart, but what we know from yesterday is that when we come together to focus on what brings us together, we win.
We knocked on over 41,000 doors. We made 320,000 phone calls. We had thousands of one-on-one conversations with voters — not just about Question 1, but also about the cost of living in Maine and the problems facing our community.
This campaign was a return to our roots as a party. This win is about grassroots organizing.
If Republicans want to bring us these fights, we'll meet them on the field. We will continue to out-organize them. We will continue to out-work them. We will bring people together to fight against hate-spreading and fear-mongering, and we will win.
If you're fired up and ready for 2026, remember that this is just the start of the momentum we're building. Let's bring it home. Are you in?
