Hi John, What a night! Over 250 Emerge alums ran in 2025 - and 80% of them won!

Apply for the Virtual National Signature Training Program

The only virtual, 70-hour in-depth training that inspires democratic women candidates to run and provides the tools, skills, and network to win. A unique opportunity for those planning to run for office in the next  2 – 5 years (through 2030).

The program runs from February through June 2026, and tuition is $750. Payment plans, fundraising the tuition, and scholarships are available as payment methods. Click here to review the schedule & curriculum.

The deadline to apply is Friday, November 14.

We're celebrating these historic wins - join the movement!

  • In Virginia, our alum Abigail Spanberger won the Virginia’s Governor's race, becoming the first woman in history to serve in this role.

  • Emerge had 33 women on the ballot for Virginia House of Delegates. 24 won their races. Fully one quarter -- 25/100 -- of Virginia House Delegates will be Emerge alums

  • Michelle Wu was re-elected as Mayor of Boston, serving a second term as the first woman and first Asian-American mayor of the city.

  • Erica Deuso was elected as the Mayor of Downingtown, Pennsylvania  – and will be the first out trans mayor in the state
    .

  • In Washington state, Naren Briar, won her race for Bellevue City Council, becoming the first Kurdish American woman in the country elected to office, knocking out a 32 year incumbent who has been in elected office longer than Naren has been alive.

  • Erika Evans, the former DOJ attorney who resigned in protest of Pam Bondi and the unethical DOJ of the Trump administration, won her race for Seattle City Attorney, defeating a MAGA Republican incumbent to become the first Black woman to hold the position.

The Emerge training centers women of the New American Majority - Black, Brown, and Indigenous women, women of color, LGBTQ+, young, and unmarried women. In building a reflective democracy, we know the value of developing leaders who have the passion and skills to bring their community’s voice to the decision-making table.

Today, we have more than 1,200 Emerge alums serving in elected office throughout the country, and over 6,500 women trained.
Our alums have a 71% win rate, and Emerge alums are nearly six times more likely to win.
