I woke up this morning looking at the election results, and they proved one thing: Our Independent strategy is the winning formula.

Just like in South Dakota, voters across the country were sick of the two-party chaos and the economic failures of the politicians in charge. Who did they elect?

* Abigail Spanberger (VA Governor-elect): She ran on pragmatism over partisanship. She's a former CIA case officer who focused on the economy and rising costs.
* Mikie Sherrill (NJ Governor-elect): A former Navy helicopter pilot and prosecutor who won by campaigning on affordability, competence, and accountability.

These victories support our argument that voters are desperate to hire disciplined professionals like veterans and national security experts, who put service before self and reject the partisan games.

I don’t care about partisan politics. I’m a retired Lt. Colonel who spent 26 years in the Air Force and Navy. I care about a government that works for working people, reforming Washington and bringing the damn costs down.

Our polling shows I lead Mike Rounds 43% to 35% after voters hear my story. We are the most strategic, high-leverage investment on the map ($100 here is worth $3,900 in Florida!), and now we have national proof that our profile beats the political establishment.

But the corporate PACs and rich guys funding Mike Rounds are not going to ignore these results. They will flood South Dakota with millions of dollars in lies to try and crush our momentum.
