The Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church has completed canvassing the votes of annual conferences on the four constitutional amendments that were approved by the 2024 General Conference and all four amendments were ratified. United Methodist voters on four continents have ratified a major restructuring that aims to give the denomination’s different geographical regions equal decision-making authority. The Council of Bishops, meeting online, announced the ratification of the restructuring — known as Worldwide Regionalization — as well as three other amendments to the denomination’s constitution, this afternoon.
