Governor Walz Orders Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Former Vice President Dick Cheney

Governor Tim Walz has ordered all United States and Minnesota flags to fly at half-staff at all state buildings in the State of Minnesota immediately and until sunset on the day of internment in honor and remembrance of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who passed away on November 3, 2025.

“Former Vice President Cheney devoted decades to public service, holding a variety of roles throughout his career and redefining the role of Vice President,” said Governor Walz. “Gwen and I extend our deepest condolences to the Cheney family and all who are mourning his passing.”

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to join in lowering their flags.
