Friend, one year ago — in the wake of the 2024 presidential election — I wrote to you and promised that Brady would never back down, even in the face of another Trump presidency. One year later, we've already seen the damage unfold:
Funding cuts to life-saving programs. Gun safety rules rescinded. The gun lobby openly given a seat at the policymaking table.
This is just the beginning. Three more years remain — and with the midterm elections just one year away, the path forward depends entirely on what we do right now.
Last night, we saw what tireless work can accomplish: Gun violence prevention champions were elected to the governorship in Virginia and New Jersey in a direct rebuke to Trump’s deadly agenda. If we work together, we can win, friend.
If we want to protect our progress, hold the line against pro-gun extremists in Congress, and fight to install gun violence prevention champions in leadership, we need to act collectively — in every state, in every community, at every level of government. Brady is ready to fight in the courts, in legislatures, and at the ballot box. But we can't do it without you.
