Dear Friend,
Democracy is under attack, and Maryland can’t afford to sit on the sidelines.
Across the country, Republicans in red states are redrawing congressional maps to lock in power and silence Black and working-class voters. While they move full speed ahead, Maryland’s Senate leadership is standing still — refusing to redraw our maps to protect Black political power and fair representation.
This isn’t the time for caution. This is the time for courage.
Blue states like California and New York are stepping up — it’s time for Maryland to do the same.
We need Senate President Bill Ferguson and our state senators to meet the moment and work with Governor Moore to call a special session to redraw Maryland’s maps.
Join us tomorrow, Thursday, November 6 at 10 AM on Lawyers Mall in Annapolis as we call on Maryland’s leaders to take action for fair maps and protect our democracy.
