James,
The voters have spoken loud and clear.
[ [link removed] ]Headline: Mamdani wins New York City mayoral race, in a historic victory for
progressives
Zohran Mamdani ran and won on ideas New Yorkers – and all Americans – are
hungry for: Affordable housing, childcare, and transportation, as well as
good-paying union jobs. These aren’t pie-in-the-sky policies. They’re
concrete, popular measures that will raise the standard of living for
everyday people right now. That’s why turnout soared, with young and
first-time voters lining up to make their voices heard.
But establishment Democrats aren’t seeing or feeling the momentum. In
fact, top party leaders are in denial. When asked if Mamdani was the
future of the Democratic Party, Hakeem Jeffries was quick to reply: “No.”
Chuck Schumer refused to endorse him, and even refused to answer when
asked if he voted for the Democratic nominee. This isn’t leadership – this
is a fundamental disconnect, plain and simple.
As we pivot to the 2026 midterms, we want to hear from Our Revolution
supporters so we can tell Democratic leaders the lessons that the
grassroots thinks they should learn from Mamdani’s historic victory. It
will also help us influence what candidates run on during the 2026
midterms. Can you take a quick minute to fill out this survey and tell us
where you stand? Here’s the first question:
[ [link removed] ]Do you think Chuck Schumer should step aside as Democratic Senate
Minority Leader after failing to endorse Mamdani?
[ [link removed] ]YES
[ [link removed] ]NO
Yesterday’s election sent an unmistakable message: bold, progressive ideas
fire up the grassroots. Yet time after time, the Democratic Establishment
turns its back on progressive candidates.

says 'no.'
What’s happening is clear: as Trump’s authoritarianism reaches new
heights, Democratic leaders are doubling down on the same, tired playbook
– ignoring grassroots energy and voters hungry for real change.
Our Revolution was built to challenge business as usual inside the
Democratic Party. If we don’t speak up now, the party will never change –
and that will hurt us as we pivot to the 2026 elections. YOUR input
matters. Your perspective can shape where our movement goes from here.
[ [link removed] ]Your responses will help inform our strategy as we get ready for
critical 2026 elections. When you fill out this quick survey on the future
of the Democratic Party, you will help our movement tell Democratic
leaders and 2026 candidates the best way to fight back against Trump and
win.
