LCB Action: Alcohol-Related Rulemaking – Implementing 2SHB 1515 Expanded Alcohol Service Areas, Proposed Rules, Public Comment Period Open
On Nov. 5, 2025, during its regularly scheduled meeting, the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following alcohol-related action:
The Board approved a rule proposal (CR 102) to amend existing rules in Title 314 WAC and create new rules in Chapter 314-02 WAC implementing Second Substitute House Bill (2SHB) 1515 (chapter 361, Laws of 2025) which expanded allowable areas of public alcohol consumption in various ways. The public may provide comments on this issue until the public hearing, currently scheduled for Dec. 11, 2025.
