Team,
This week, our country hit a shameful milestone: the longest government shutdown in American history.
And it’s hardworking families — not politicians in Washington — who are paying the price.
In Las Vegas, I joined volunteers at The Just One Project to help distribute food to families struggling because of this shutdown. With Republicans in Congress and Donald Trump refusing to fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), nearly half a million Nevadans — including thousands of children — are at risk of going hungry.
At the same time, 85,000 Nevadans could lose their Affordable Care Act tax credits, and health care costs could rise by nearly 200%. For many families, that means the difference between getting care and going without it.
This is what happens when Washington plays politics with people’s livelihoods.
While Republicans tweet about marble bathrooms and pet projects overseas, I’m focused on what really matters — helping Nevada families put food on the table and making sure they can afford to see a doctor when they need one.
Because no parent should ever have to choose between paying rent, buying groceries, or getting their child the care they need.
But I can’t do this alone. NV-03 is one of the most competitive districts in the country, and national Republicans are already pouring millions into attack ads to flip this seat.
If you agree that working families deserve leaders who show up — not shut down the government — I need you with me today.
Can you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can to help me keep fighting for Nevada families and protect food assistance and health care for those who need it most?
I’ll never stop fighting for the families who make our community strong — but I need your help to keep going.
