We are in an existential fight for our democracy.
You know the facts. Trump and his administration are:
- Slashing food assistance and health care for millions while giving the wealthy huge tax breaks.
- Sending the National Guard and federal agents into cities to sow chaos.
- Weaponizing the Department of Justice to indict and persecute his political rivals.
- Trying to rig the 2026 midterms by pressuring states to gerrymander their maps for Republicans.
Thankfully, voters are waking up. Every win is worth celebrating. After last night, we have plenty of victories to celebrate!
From coast to coast, voters turned out to stand up for the democracy we deserve and declare with one voice: we will not be intimidated. They elected new governors and pro-democracy trifectas. Mainers rejected a voter suppression ballot measure. California voters fought back against Trump’s gerrymandering schemes. Pennsylvanians voted to retain pro-democracy judges on their State Supreme Court.
Landslide victories like last night don’t just happen, they’re built with hard work—and Stand Up America was proud to be part of key wins in Pennsylvania, California and Maine. The Stand Up America community wrote tens of thousands of letters to voters, filled hundreds of volunteer shifts, and turned out in droves to make these wins possible.
