John,
What happened last night was the rumble and roar that forewarns of a coming Blue Tsunami.
From sweeping statewide wins in Georgia, New Jersey, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, to important local races across the country: at every level of the ballot, Democrats dominated.
In the race for the next Mayor of Miami, Florida, Democrat Eileen Higgins received 36% to advance to a December runoff against a MAGA Republican backed by Ron DeSantis who only received 19.5%.
No Democrat has been elected mayor of Miami in 28 years. But Higgins not only took the largest vote share in a 13-candidate field: overall, the combined Democratic vote for Miami mayor totaled 54%.
