I’m grateful for the chance to serve you. With a committed team at the county and support from neighbors like you, we’ve made real progress on the basics Tarrant County families count on:
- Lower tax burden, including the largest property tax cuts in county history, a first-ever Homestead Exemption, and tax rates set below the No-New-Revenue Rate three years in a row.
- Leaner government, nearly $80 million trimmed from the budget over three years, and a responsible health insurance agreement that saves taxpayers almost $15 million.
- Careful stewardship, saying no to wasteful purchases, tightening travel policies, doing more work in-house, and negotiating away unnecessary fees so more dollars stay with taxpayers.
- Safer communities, investing in tools and training for law enforcement, moving forward on a modern training academy, addressing mental health needs tied to public safety, and shutting down chronic public nuisances.
- Strong, transparent elections, with tighter custody of ballots, and no internet transmission of results.
- Eliminating all woke programs that existed in the county.
There is more to do, and we’ll continue to approach it with the same steady, conservative approach, one line item at a time.
