Our schools, our safety at risk.

3038.
That was the number of new COVID-19 cases in Arizona on Saturday.
The numbers continue to surge daily. Yet, Congressman David Schweikert and Governor Doug Ducey continue to show inaction and disregard for the painful reality we are living in.
Instead, they pat themselves on the back and boost each other up. This tweet from last week still infuriates me.

In reality, neither of them has stepped up to truly lead us
through this crisis, and as Trump tries to bully our schools to reopen, both remain in his corner. We can not put our educators, support staff, parents and children at risk, and we won't be pressured to do it for a political agenda. Many of our school districts are standing up to the noise and making proactive plans to stay online for far longer than Ducey's August 17th date. But they need help, including greater resources for Arizona children without computers and access to the internet. They need our elected leaders to do the right thing.
If history tells us anything, Rep. Schweikert
won't do the right thing. The only hope is voting him out.
That's why in 23 days we must elect the strongest Democrat to be our nominee.
I am the only one who can take him on with success. But, I can't do it alone.
If you can, I'm asking for your help today with $23 for the 23 days ahead.
Every bit matters to our grassroots movement.
Please stay safe, and please thank an educator today. We will continue the fight for them and for safety for us all.
With hope and gratitude, -Anita
