Dear John,

We want you to see what our staff see all the time: Girls who are incredibly resilient in the face of grave challenges to their health and future.

Last night, at the International Conference on Family Planning in Bogotá, Colombia, we hosted a photo exhibition (see images above) highlighting girls’ lived experiences with the interrelated issues of child marriage, teenage pregnancy and school dropout.

The photos are beautiful and deeply moving, as they share the stories of children who are struggling to raise children of their own—while also working to fulfill their dreams now deferred by motherhood. Ipas staff from around the world were at the exhibition, sharing what their teams are doing to tackle the overlapping threats girls face.

But you don’t have to be in Bogotá to experience this exhibition! We’ve created a virtual exhibit you can visit right now on our website.

Please take a few minutes today to explore the visual stories we’ve prepared for you. Each girl’s story is a portrait of resilience—and an inspiration for why we do the work we do.

Thanks as always for standing with us. Together we can build a world where every girl can control her own body and future.

With appreciation,

Your friends at Ipas
