Last night, Virginians sent a message to every corner of the Commonwealth, to our neighbors and our fellow Americans across the country, to the whole world.

They chose leadership that will put pragmatism over partisanship.

They chose leadership that will focus on problem solving, not stoking division.

They chose leadership that will focus relentlessly on what matters most: lowering costs, keeping our communities safe, and strengthening our economy for every Virginian.

They chose a Governor who will always put Virginia — not a President, not a political party — first.

It is the honor of my lifetime to be elected the 75th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia!

To everyone who helped us achieve this win, thank you for the trust you have placed in me. To our tireless volunteers and grassroots donors, thank you for devoting your time, energy, and hard-earned dollars to his campaign.

We won this race because of you.

Now, the list of challenges we are facing is long, but I know we can solve these problems by tackling them together — Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and everyone in-between. Whether you voted for me or not, my intent is to serve all Virginians.

That means I will listen to you. I will work for you and with you. And I cannot wait to get started.
