Good morning, John. It’s Jane Fonda with the first wave of election results from last night… and it’s good news! 🎉

As of 8:00AM ET, here’s where we stand:

✅ In Virginia, we FLIPPED nine highly competitive Republican-held districts for the House of Delegates — expanding our climate majority and electing Ghazala Hashimi, the first Muslim woman to hold statewide office, as the next Lieutenant Governor.

✅ In Georgia, we OVERPERFORMED in one of the toughest battlegrounds in the country, where JanePAC-endorsed candidate Alicia Johnson flipped the Georgia Public Service Commission, District 2, marking Democrats’ first statewide victory in a non-federal race since 2006.

✅ In Pennsylvania, we said we were coming to flip the Luzerne County Council, and we did. What began as a 10-1 Republican supermajority in 2023 is now a solidly pro-environment majority in 2025.

✅ In Mississippi, Democrats broke the Republican supermajority in the State Senate. JanePAC-endorsed candidate Johnny DuPree flipped his seat from red to blue and played a fundamental role in shifting the balance of power in a deep-red state.

That energy is undeniable. You can sure as hell see it, and I can feel it in my bones. From Virginia to Pennsylvania, voters are demanding a new kind of leadership.

Leadership that’s accountable to the people, not corporations.

Leadership that inspires, instead of dividing.

Leadership that dreams big, and delivers.

And we hear them loud and clear.

I couldn’t be prouder of the candidates we’ve endorsed and of the grassroots movement we’ve built to make days like these possible.

Because this work was never mine, or yours, alone. It’s the work of millions of ordinary people doing something extraordinary: turning pain into purpose, despair into determination, and fear into collective power.

Wherever you call home, these victories are your victories, John.

But our story doesn’t end when the polls close. Ballots are still being counted in dozens of races, and our team is already preparing for recounts, runoffs, and yes, the 2026 midterm elections.
