Dear SPUC Supporter,
I would like to introduce myself. I’m William Currie, and I have recently started working for SPUC as our new Fundraising Officer. I’m going to be fasting for 9 days, from 13-21 July, to help stop home abortions. During this time I will be eating only one meal a day.
The government’s hasty introduction of home abortions, as part of their emergency response to Covid-19 back in March, has wrought devastating effects on women and their unborn babies. We all recognise the evil of Britain’s abortion laws, but now, with home abortion, even more unborn babies are being killed, and women are at increased risk of being coerced into performing an abortion on themselves, without medical supervision.
These past few weeks, more than ever, I’ve been distinctly aware of the joy that a new baby can bring, with the recent birth of my niece, which put me in mind of the many babies being denied their right to life by home abortion.
Over the course of the nine days, whilst praying and fasting, I will be keeping at the forefront of my mind all the babies killed by abortion, as well as those killed in recent months under these new regulations. Moreover, I will be praying for women in need of support.
I would like to thank all of our supporters who have already so generously given, or who will be giving, to this year’s sponsored event, and I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
You can support my fast for unborn babies by donating online.
Thank you for all you do to defend life. Together we will end abortion!
William Currie
