OLD TOWN - The Maine Department of Transportation will be closing Stillwater Avenue in Old Town between November 9 to November 13 from 8 PM to 5 AM.

The exact nights of closure within this timeframe have not yet been determined. MaineDOT will provide updates on the project as needed via our website.

Message boards will provide advanced notice to drivers and there will be a signed detour route for the closure. The road will be blocked for through traffic during this time.

These closures a part of an ongoing project to replace the two bridges carrying Stillwater Avenue over the Stillwater River in Old Town.

Maintenance will be conducted on the temporary detour bridge in preparation for the winter season.

The contractor on this project is Reed & Reed, Inc. of Woolwich, Maine.
