Team, I am so honored to be the governor-elect for the great state of New Jersey. 

But I didn’t do it alone. I want to thank everyone who played a part in this victory — I wouldn't be here without this incredible grassroots team who chipped in, volunteered, and voted, as well as my team, my family, and my running mate, Dr. Dale Caldwell.  

This was a tough fight and this is a tough state. But I know you, New Jersey. I have fought for you. I’ve spoken with thousands of you over this last year. I know your struggles, your hopes, and your dreams.

So serving you is worth any tough fight I have to take on, and I am so incredibly honored to be your next governor.

New Jersey has sent a message that will be heard across the country, and the world. As you might imagine, I’ve been reflecting a lot on what that message is, and I keep coming back to New Jersey’s state motto: 

Liberty and Prosperity

As we see our government at the federal level backing away from liberty, we here in New Jersey are bound to fight for a different future for our children.

But liberty alone isn’t good enough if the government makes it impossible for you to feed your family, or get a good education, or a good job. That doesn’t seem like too much to ask, but right now, all of it seems at risk. Governors have never mattered more.

I have heard from thousands of New Jerseyans about liberty and prosperity. And I intend to deliver.

I’m going to take care of our kids, drive down your costs, and deliver a government that doesn’t just manage problems, it solves them.

I’m going to build on New Jersey’s great legacy of innovation that changes the world, relentless advocacy for a better future, and a stubborn refusal to bow down to kings for 250 years running. 

That’s the course we’re charting for the entire nation, and if you’re reading this email, you were a part of it. 

Thank you for loving this country and this state enough to fight for it.
