Today, I announced the reconstitution of the Governor’s Redistricting
Advisory Commission.

John xxxxxx, you’ve
probably seen the headlines. Trump and his allies are trying to rig the
system because they know that people will not vote for their unpopular
policies.

In this moment of danger and uncertainty, we can’t let Donald Trump and
his allies rig the game. It’s an assault on the basic foundations of our
democracy.

If we’re serious about protecting it, we cannot and will not just sit back
and watch. Not in Maryland, not anywhere.

So that’s why we created this commission. It’s a bipartisan group of
leaders who will take this moment seriously and begin their work right
away.
