Polls have closed in Pennsylvania*, and I wanted to take a minute to connect with you. 

This has been such a stressful time. So many Pennsylvanians have been impacted by the horrors coming out of the Trump administration. Whether it’s losing a job, worrying about losing health coverage, seeing our energy and grocery costs keep creeping up, or something else, the fear and uncertainty that we’re feeling is real. 

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court elections brought into focus everything that’s at stake. Our justices decide whether our constitutional right to clean air, water, and land continues. Whether our votes get counted. Whether our district maps will go back to being gerrymandered – and so much more. 

I wanted to tell you that we made the state Supreme Court elections our top priority this year. Together, we went all in. 

Whether you contributed, volunteered, talked to friends, posted on social media, or voted, we gave it our all. I’m so inspired by everything you’ve given, and am extremely grateful for your support.

The most important thing you can do now is remind your friends and neighbors that counting every vote takes time. Most people don’t know this, but our election officials aren’t allowed to open the millions of mail-in ballots until Election Day! This quirky rule means it can take time to get results. 

Unfortunately, we may see attempts by Trump and his allies to use this opportunity to continue to create chaos through misinformation. MAGA political investors spent big to lie to and deceive voters. Do not spread these lies. It’s up to us to say over and over again that our elections are secure, they are managed by professionals, and there are multiple safeguards to protect against fraud and errors.
