Team,
Donald Trump is threatening to block food assistance for millions of Americans — including children, seniors, and people with disabilities — unless Democrats agree to his political demands.
Let’s be clear: using hunger as a bargaining chip is despicable, inhumane, and un-American.
But if there’s one thing we know about Americans, it’s that we step up when the mission — and the moment — calls for it. That’s why we’re asking you today to visit OhioFoodBanks.org and find ways to donate, volunteer, and take action to end hunger in your area.
We know what’s at stake:
1 out of every 9 Ohioans receives food assistance from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). That’s 1.4 million people, many of whom are children. And the president is refusing to comply with a court order to fully fund this program so that he can play political games.
Denying people in need access to food is cruel and immoral, and especially so when the president is trying to make Democrats choose between letting people starve or denying them affordable health care coverage.
Learn how you can make a difference and ensure no family goes to bed hungry at OhioFoodBanks.org.
Thank you for being there for our neighbors. This community is stronger because of it.
– Ohio Dems
P.S. We refuse to allow this president to pit hungry Americans against sick Americans, and we will not abandon any of them. That’s why we’re fighting for an Ohio where every family can afford groceries, rent, and a doctor’s visit. If you have anything to spare, chip in to help us win elections here in Ohio and keep fighting for working families.
