War against who? Texans?? [View this email in your browser.]([link removed]

Crazy talk. *Menacing* crazy talk, John.
Yesterday at a Turning Point USA meeting, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Paxton's hand-picked candidate to succeed him, Aaron Reitz, spoke of “evil threats” and doubled down on what is essentially war talk.
Rather than discussing what the Texas AG's Office can do to help Texans solve practical problems, Paxton and Reitz reveled in a meeting where political opponents were described as "evil, existential threats that should be destroyed, or at least made so uncomfortable as to leave the country," according to the *Dallas Morning News.*
Reitz said he wants “total victory” because of "irreconcilable differences" with his opponents and "domestic enemies."
"My life purpose is to destroy them and advance our conservative values," said Reitz.
This is menacing crazy talk, threatening the stability of our society. We might expect this from a criminal like Steve Bannon but it's not what we deserve from one who aspires to be the top legal officer of our state, one who is charged with upholding the rule of law while preserving and protecting the rights all Americans.
My job as Attorney General will be, in part, to protect you from people like Aaron Reitz and Steve Bannon and Ken Paxton.
