Today is Election Day. Millions of people are casting their ballots in
races that will shape our future.

Here in California, we have the chance to pass Proposition 50 to counter
Texas Republicans’ extreme gerrymander.

And across the country, we have the chance to elect amazing Democrats,
like Abigail Spanberger in Virginia and Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey, who
are standing up to the Trump administration and fighting for our rights.

I’m hopeful that there will be victories to celebrate tonight, but let’s
not forget that our fight is not over with one election.

After votes are counted today, there are lots of important campaigns
happening across the country in 2026 to focus on, and my race for
California governor is one of them.

I’m running to tackle the cost of living crisis, build more housing, and
protect our communities from Donald Trump. California is the biggest state
in the country, and electing a true progressive governor will send a
powerful message: we’re rejecting politics-as-usual and putting people
before corporate donors.
