Today, Americans across Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City are casting ballots in off-year elections -- and this year, the entire country is paying attention.
In New York City, we are witnessing an alarming rise in support for socialism, something our forefathers would shudder to imagine and our Republic cannot sustain.
William Penn warned, "If we are not governed by God, then we must be governed by tyrants."
Socialism is not the answer to the problems facing our nation. The answer is a return to biblical morality and truth. But we should not be surprised that when Christians retreat from the public square or abandon their responsibility to lead, secular and spiritually dark ideas will fill the void.
Meanwhile, razor-thin races in Virginia and New Jersey are capturing national attention, with basic biblical principles -- life, family, liberty, and religious freedom -- hanging in the balance. At the same time, voters in states like California and Maine are facing high-stakes ballot initiatives and redistricting battles that could shift political power and have consequences for years to come.
These are not simple political contests -- they are moral crossroads. The choices we make today will shape how faithfully our communities reflect God's truth in law, culture, and policy.
As Christians, we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines. We need to actively pray for righteous leaders and vote accordingly. Every believer has a responsibility to engage the culture with discernment, courage, and prayerful conviction. The stakes are high, and the hour is urgent.

As I asked on Washington Watch last week, if New York prevails for the socialists, will that give Democrats an off-ramp to reopen the government?
As eyes across the nation anxiously watch VA, NJ, and NYC, Washington remains paralyzed by a government shutdown -- one that now threatens to become the longest in our nation's history.
What we're seeing from Leftists in Washington today isn't leadership -- it's political strategy. They are willing to leverage the pain of American families and our men and women in uniform to force through trillions in spending. This includes expanding covid-era Obamacare subsidies that equal taxpayer support for abortion and gender transition procedures -- even for illegal immigrants.
But there is a silver lining. Amid the calamity and noise, dozens of members of Congress bowed their heads in prayer.
Last week, the House Freedom Caucus came to FRC asking to help host a national prayer call for America.
Together, we hosted a special broadcast; "Congress Prays for America," where Members bowed their heads, sought God's guidance, and prayed for unity, revival, and wisdom.
Even as we pray, FRC is continuing to make the most of our strategic position in Washington to expose the dangers of these expanded Obamacare subsidies and educate members of Congress on how these insane proposals violate God's design for life, truth, and righteousness.
