When Wes said that he would leave nothing on the table when it came to ensuring Marylanders had fair maps, he meant it.
President Donald Trump and his allies are trying to rig the system by handpicking Republican states to go through redistricting processes.
The President’s policies — cutting health care and food assistance to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy — are deeply unpopular. And since he can’t defend them at the ballot box, he’s changing the rules of the game instead.
But Wes’s position is not changing: If other states are determining whether or not they have fair maps, so will Maryland.
