As voters head to the polls in Virginia, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and beyond, we’re laser-focused on helping pro-democracy candidates cross the finish line victorious. And we’re not letting up in these final hours.

Here’s what’s at stake:

• California voters are weighing in on a responsive measure to redraw their congressional map to counter the power grabs we saw in Texas, Missouri, and North Carolina. The outcome of Prop 50 will have reverberations across America in next year’s midterm elections.
• We’re supporting Democracy Defenders who are critical to maintaining a slim majority in Virginia’s House of Delegates — these races that will enable us to head off a Republican power grab here. Virginians also need a pro-democracy champion like Abigail Spanberger as their next governor.
• In Pennsylvania, the NDRC is working to retain a pro-democracy majority on the state supreme court. This court is the backstop that has prevented egregious Republican gerrymandering in the past, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that winning these under-the-radar retention elections is critical to preserving American democracy.
