There is a special election TODAY, Tuesday, November 4th, on Prop 50.
If you have not voted yet, get out and VOTE TODAY!
Vote Centers in L.A. County are open until 8 p.m. today.
Californians will be voting on Prop 50 — a ballot measure that requires the temporary use of new congressional district maps through 2030.
The ballot measure also directs the independent California Citizens Redistricting Commission to return to its role enacting congressional district maps in 2031 — after the next national census.
California has undertaken mid-decade redistricting in California to offset attempts by conservatives to rig congressional maps in states like Texas, Florida, Indiana, and Missouri.
If you didn’t receive your ballot in the mail or lost it, don’t worry!
You can vote by mail or in-person at any L.A. County Vote Center until Election Day, November 4th, 2025, at 8 p.m.
If you are in line at a vote center at 8 p.m., stay in line — you will still be able to vote. Mail-in ballots will still be counted if they are postmarked with today's date and will arrive at the L.A. County elections office within 7 days.

Hoy, martes 4 de noviembre, se lleva a cabo una elección especial sobre la Propuesta 50.
Si aún no has votado, ¡sal a VOTAR HOY!
Los Centros de Votación del Condado de Los Ángeles estarán abiertos hasta las 8 p.m. de hoy.
Los californianos votarán sobre la Propuesta 50, una iniciativa que establece el uso temporal de nuevos mapas de distritos congresionales en California hasta el año 2030.
Además, la medida dispone que la Comisión Ciudadana Independiente de Redistritación de California retome su función de trazar los mapas congresionales en 2031, después del próximo censo nacional.
Esta redistritación a mitad de década busca contrarrestar los intentos de ciertos sectores conservadores de manipular los mapas congresionales en estados como Texas, Florida, Indiana y Misuri.
Si no recibiste tu boleta por correo o la perdiste, ¡no te preocupes!
Puedes votar por correo o en persona en cualquier Centro de Votación del Condado de Los Ángeles hasta el Día de las Elecciones, 4 de noviembre de 2025, a las 8 p.m.
Si estás en la fila de un centro de votación a las 8 p.m., quédate en la fila — aún podrás votar. Las boletas enviadas por correo serán contadas si estan selladas con la fecha de hoy y llegan a la oficina electoral del Condado de Los Ángeles dentro de los 7 días siguientes.
