DWC news: fraud investigation

Trinity Couriers Inc. recently pled guilty to fraudulently obtaining workers' compensation insurance coverage. The company agreed to pay $800,000 in restitution to their insurance carrier, Texas Mutual Insurance Company.

DWC's fraud investigators confirmed an ongoing scheme from 2016 to 2018 to underreport workforce payroll to Texas Mutual for workers' compensation coverage.
