Dan Bishop was already best known as the architect of HB2, North Carolina's bathroom bill. It discriminated against our state's LGBTQ community, hurt our national reputation and cost us billions in economic activity. But he fought for it all the way to the end.

When the legislature passed a bipartisan repeal of the bill, he was the only state senator to defend HB2.

Now we know he was even trying to add discriminatory language into the repeal bill &mdashl comparing his efforts to discriminate against LGBTQ people to saving Jews from the Holocaust.

Fortunately, a bipartisan coalition in the state legislature stopped him. But this is exactly the far-right, bigoted agenda he wants to take to Washington.
