November 20: Purchasing Power Under Pressure: Employers' and Unions' Perspectives on Rising Health Care Prices and the Role of Middlemen ([link removed] )

As health care prices have continued to rise, employers and unions have looked for assistance to manage provider prices.

Many third-party organizations have provided services to manage these increasing costs, including third-party administrators, benefits consultants, point solution vendors, repricers, and reinsurers.

Join Health Affairs on November 20 for an open access virtual event with a panel of experts exploring insights and perspectives on rising prices, the ecosystem of third-party vendors, proposed legislation to improve transparency of these vendors, and more.

The event will draw upon articles in the Health Affairs Forefront series, “ Provider Prices in the Commercial Sector ([link removed] ) ,” supported by Arnold Ventures.

Confirmed speakers include:

- Patrick Pine, Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan, Juan De La Cruz Pension Plan (retired)
- Andrea Caballero, Catalyst for Payment Reform
- Katie Gudiksen, UC Law in San Francisco

Health Affairs Senior Editor Laura Tollen will moderate.
