VIDEO OF THE DAY: Mamdani delivers pitch-perfect response to desperate Trump attack

Zohran Mamdani, the official new bogeyman of the Republican Party, has instilled abject fear in the hearts of the right-wing ruling class, as Donald Trump and his fellow one-percenters across the country have all but brandished him the antiChrist. Mamdani's response? A relentless focus on making New York City...affordable. The mayoral frontrunner artfully noted, "I think it shows that they're terrified of the prospect of us actually delivering on the same message that they ran on... because it will show in such a stark contrast what they do with power and what we do with power. This is a president who ran on cheaper groceries who's now spending $300 million to remodel a White House ballroom... The contrast is one that would be too great for them to bear." Do the right thing today, New York!

Former Vice President Dick Cheney dies at 84

Oil and war profiteer Dick Cheney, who served as George W. Bush's vice president from 2001 to 2009, died yesterday at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by one million Iraqis, the Party of Lincoln, judicial independence, election integrity, countless Americans who were denied healthcare and other basic necessities, his first "heart," thousands of US service members sent to his wars under false pretense, and the separation of church and state — all of whose demise he helped orchestrate. Also, Harry Whittington, the longtime friend who Cheney literally shot in the face and then forced to apologize. In lieu of flowers please vote for everything he opposed.

Elon Musk set to become world’s first TRILLIONAIRE as shareholders votes on wild pay package

Take Back Tesla: Fresh off of cutting off food and medicine to millions of starving people and depriving thousands of hard-working federal employees of their jobs, Elon Musk is asking Tesla shareholders to give him a TRILLION-dollar pay package. It would be the largest in history and will inevitably set off a new age of corporate excess as other CEOs compete to give themselves bigger and bigger pay packages. Nobody deserves or NEEDS that much money, especially not Elon Musk. You probably have Tesla stock in your portfolio — click this link to find out how you can do your part to stop this appalling show of greed from becoming a grim reality.

Majority of Trump ballroom donors recently faced federal enforcement actions, new report alleges
Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy nonprofit, detailed the monumental financial stakes for the "three dozen corporate and individual donors" who are footing the bill for Lord Goldemort's ridiculous, gilded ballroom. During the past five years, these donors have received $279 BILLION in contracts with the federal government and "have sprawling interests that touch nearly every aspect of American life, including tariffs, technology, taxation, online privacy, and manufacturing." They also share another peculiar thing in common: a majority of the donors have found themselves recently facing federal investigations "tied to alleged wrongdoing that includes engaging in unfair labor practices, deceiving consumers, and harming the environment." Shocking. "These giant corporations aren’t funding the Trump ballroom debacle out of a sense of civic pride," said Public Citizen Co-President Robert Weissman, who helped author the report. "They have massive interests before the federal government and they undoubtedly hope to curry favor with, and receive favorable treatment from, the Trump administration. Millions to fund Trump’s architectural whims are nothing compared to the billions at stake in procurement, regulatory and enforcement decisions." Quid pro whoa.

Trump backs long-time rival Andrew Cuomo for NYC mayor, calls Zamdani a "communist"

Donald Trump's pathetic endorsement of his long-time political foe — "Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice" — is precisely the kind of craven politics millions of Americans are emphatically rejecting and emblematic of the rot eating the establishment from the inside out. It's little wonder Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old Democratic Socialist running on novel ideas like economic equality, affordable housing, and free public transportation has connected with such a wide swath of voters on a palpable level. Cuomo's campaign offers New Yorkers a false choice, one driven by rabid, irrational fear: stick with the status quo or brace for absolute ruin. It makes sense that Donald would back Cuomo, though. Neither credibly accused sexual predator can take "no" for an answer, they are both fueled by raging entitlement, and they have nothing but contempt for anyone who dares to challenge their privilege and power. Do the right thing today, New York. For your great city and beyond!

Trump administration now says SNAP will be partially funded in November
With the MAGA cult leader's government shutdown extending into its second month, and after having its hands forced by two separate judicial orders, the Trump administration begrudgingly announced that it will "partially" fund SNAP, the federal food assistance program that helps more than 42 million Americans not go hungry at a time when economic inequality is at an all-time high. SNAP costs more than $8 billion per month nationally — roughly 1.4% of the total federal government budget. The Trump regime says an emergency fund it will use has $4.65 billion — enough to cover about half the normal benefits. Every day marks a new low in our government's enduring quest to do the absolute bare minimum for the people it ostensibly serves. It is so good to be great again.

Trump ousts watchdog of US housing regulator involved in mortgage probes of his foes
Oh, hey. Definitely nothing nefarious or incredibly disturbing to see here. Donald Trump just ousted Joe Allen, the US Federal Housing Finance Agency's internal watchdog, at a time when the wannabe dictator is weaponizing that very agency to target his political enemies with bullshit, criminal mortgage fraud prosecutions. Allen's removal is nothing new, of course. Across the government, the Trump regime has so far fired or reassigned close to two dozen agency watchdogs charged with policing waste, fraud, and abuse. It has also defunded the group that supervises those very offices. Quick question: If a deranged autocrat fells every tree in the forest but cuts off the ears of everyone who might’ve been able to hear it, do we still have a functioning republic?

IDF soldiers charged with gang-raping Palestinian prisoner hold press conference demanding appreciation for their crimes
The five members of Force 100 who raped a Palestinian civilian so brutally they ruptured his rectum and exploded his intestines held a masked press conference in order to brag about their continued freedom and complain about the injustices being dealt to THEM. "I stand here today because I am tired of silence. Instead of appreciation, we received accusations — instead of thanks, there was silence," said one of the men. "We were not allowed to respond or explain; we were given a show trial before cameras, and you had already decided who was guilty. We will not remain silent. We will keep fighting for justice and for our families. Maybe you tried to break us, but you forgot that we are the strength of a hundred men." Meanwhile, while the perpetrators of this heinous crime still walk free, the IDF general who leaked the torture video has been arrested. There has been widespread evidence of mass sexual assault and torture of Palestinian civilians in Israeli custody, yet in the entire course of the war just one IDF soldier has been punished for abusing detainees. "Most moral army in the world!" according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Family speaks out after death of man deported by ICE in vegetative state
The recent death of a Costa Rican man who was jailed by US immigration authorities in February before eventually being deported in a vegetative state in September has prompted his family and supporters to speak out with allegations of negligence and inhumane treatment. Nonetheless, a spokesperson for the Trump administration maintained in a statement that the medical treatment Randall Alberto Gamboa Esquivel received before his death is better than many immigrants "have received in their entire lives." Seriously. According to his family, the 52-year-old Gamboa came to the United States in February in search of employment but was arrested shortly after by ICE agents in Texas. He initially was held at a detention center in Webb County before being transferred to another facility in Port Isabel. His family said he called them daily — until he seemingly disappeared without immediate explanation in June. Eventually, "someone at the detention center said he had a health issue, and that’s why he wasn’t answering us," Gamboa’s sister, Greidy Mata, told the Spanish-language news outlet El País. "But they didn't give us any more information." The Trump regime later claimed that "medical professionals diagnosed [Gamboa] with unspecified psychosis and hospitalized him at Valley Baptist Hospital so he could get proper mental health and medical care." When Gamboa's family finally located their loved one, he was bedridden in a vegetative state. Stricken with encephalopathy, the muscle ailment rhabdomyolysis, and the inability to eat on his own, Gamboa was officially deported and admitted to an emergency room in the Costa Rican capital of San José. He was transferred to a hospital in his hometown of Pérez Zeledón where he eventually died in late October. Gamboa arrived in the United States in perfect health, according to his family. Questions? Yeah, we've got a few...
