Last week, The Atlantic published a scenario that should alarm every Arizonan: It's Election Day 2026, and control of the House comes down to Arizona. Republicans have small leads, but thousands of mail and provisional ballots remain uncounted. Trump declares victory anyway, threatens to send FBI agents to Arizona, and Republican lawyers file to stop vote counting.

This isn't science fiction. This is a roadmap based on Trump's actual tactics and the infrastructure Republicans are building right now.

Here's what's already happening: Trump wants to eliminate mail-in voting, which more than 85% of Arizonans use. Meanwhile, he's demanding Arizona voters' personal data from the Department of Justice — at the same time as ICE deployments have intensified statewide.

Republicans know that the path to the House majority runs directly through Arizona. That's why Trump already endorsed Gina Swoboda for AZ-01. And it’s why national Republicans are preparing to pour resources into defending vulnerable seats.

So we have one year to build the infrastructure that protects Arizona's elections and flips Republican-controlled seats blue.

That means year-round organizing in all 15 counties. Voter registration drives. Poll monitoring and teams ready to defend every vote. Supporting strong candidates who will actually represent Arizona families.
