The 2025 Pennsylvania Supreme Court election has become the ultimate set piece battle of Trump’s 2nd term.

On the line is control of key swing state Pennsylvania and its 19 electoral college votes. If MAGA’s electoral coup succeeds they become the umpire for all elections held in PA and they can rewrite the rule book to ensure Democrats never win PA again. This is how Trump gets his 3rd term.

For months Democrats had been on track to lose this election but over the past few days the tide has turned. Obama, DNC Chair Ken Martin, and PA Governor Shapiro, have come in massively to turn out the vote. Millions of Democratic small dollar donors are flooding the race with millions. For the first time in this election Democrats are on the offensive. 

MAGA is panicking which is why last night President Trump took to Truth social to beg his voters to show up and vote down Pennsylvania’s “woke justices.”

When Trump tells his base to vote they listen. This will give MAGA a massive turnout boost. There is no doubt about it. But we can mitigate its impact.

Last week, Defend our Courts placed a massive last minute $500k TV and digital ad buy to help spread the message that the only way to protect abortion in Pennsylvania is by voting Yes. It was money we technically didn’t have (we owe nearly $500k to vendors).

While we were able to recoup that money over the weekend, Trump’s intervention means we once again need to spend our entire warchest, this time on rapid response texts and hyper targeted digital ads to turnout our voters, and once again we will need to quickly recoup that money to remain financially solvent. We’ve done it before and we must do it again today.

It is an unenviable position but these are the tough choices we are forced to make in a race with life or death consequences like this one.
