Hey John, Mark Kelly here.

I sent an email on Saturday to see if anyone could afford to chip in to the Arizona Food Bank Network to help the people going without food because of Trump’s attempts to cut off SNAP benefits. Thanks to the people who donated, a ton of families have food on the dinner table. I’m really grateful.

But this crisis won’t end until Donald Trump decides to act like the President of the United States and negotiate a deal that doesn’t screw over millions of American families.

Trump loves talking about dealmaking and peacemaking all over the world, but he’s refused to make a deal with actual Americans to stop this shutdown and keep health care premiums from spiking. He acts tough, but he’s weak. Letting kids go hungry isn’t the act of a tough guy. It’s something a bully would do.
