John,
It's Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. This month, I joined 21 other Democratic Attorneys General in suing Trump's Department of Justice over new restrictions on funding for crime survivors. If you’re with me in pushing back against the excesses of this administration, could you chip in to my re-election campaign? [ [link removed] ]

Long story short, the DOJ is cutting off support for survivors of violence based on their immigration status.
It has announced new rules that would prevent programs from using federal funds to help undocumented immigrants who are survivors of crimes. These restrictions affect three critical funding streams that have supported survivors for decades — without any discrimination based on immigration status.
Trump and his MAGA toadies like to pretend they support crime victims, while their actions prove otherwise.
From slashing survivor resources to ignoring victims of Jeffrey Epstein, they've shown they don't stand with victims or with the rule of law. Now they're forcing service providers to become immigration gatekeepers instead of helping survivors.
But I'm not alone. We're a coalition of 22 state attorneys general taking on the federal government.
Democratic Attorneys General from New York, Colorado, Illinois, Rhode Island, California, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, and other states have joined forces to protect survivors' rights. We're arguing that these restrictions are unconstitutional, and are united in defending access to critical services — regardless of immigration status.
This is exactly the kind of coordinated resistance Trump hoped wouldn't happen. Can you make a donation today to help me continue standing up for the rule of law alongside other Democratic AGs? [ [link removed] ]

Letitia James in New York, Phil Weiser in Colorado, Kwame Raoul in Illinois, Peter Neronha in Rhode Island, myself, and 17 other AGs — we're all working as a team to support vulnerable survivors.
I’m glad you’re with us,
Kris
