I want to extend my gratitude for your support in October. With your help, we met our online fundraising goal and are in a good spot as we look to start the midterm election year with strength.
We cannot ignore what is happening on House Republicans’ watch. As we enter the second month of the government shutdown, my GOP colleagues are nowhere to be found – they are refusing to meet with Democrats to come to an agreement on protecting healthcare and ending the shutdown.
The impacts are disastrous for millions of families across Southern California and the country who rely on food assistance and are now going without aid. And instead of pushing for an end to the shutdown, President Trump is spending millions on a White House ballroom and hosting extravagant parties.
The difference could not be more clear: My fellow Democrats and I are ready to work, and the Republican majority could not care less. My mission will always be working for CA-27 to put an end to the chaos.
