There’s nothing I look forward to more in the summer than having the opportunity to spend time exploring the national parks and federal lands surrounding CA-08. It’s especially important this year after being cooped up due to the pandemic.

California’s parks aren’t just good for stress relief, they are stunning landscapes that define our state’s beauty. That’s why it’s appalling that President Trump has proposed a budget that would cut $578 million from our national parks. This is critical funding in keeping our parks safe, maintained, and preserved for future generations.

I hope you can take some time to enjoy the outdoors this summer -- and, ideally, take in the beauty of one of our national parks or public lands.
