Survivor,
It’s official. Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice is now Crime Survivors Speak - and we have a new look to match our new name!
As we reflect on the past decade of our movement, I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. In the past 10 years, we’ve…
* Brought thousands of survivors to Washington DC and state capitals across the country to advocate for change
* Opened 50+ Trauma Recovery Centers across the nation
* Expanded victim compensation eligibility to 500,000 survivors
* Helped dozens of organizations secure millions of dollars in victim service funding
In times of crisis and uncertainty, gatherings like our Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice Policy Retreats are more important than ever.
When survivors come together in person, we create more than just policy discussions — we build community, healing, and collective strength. These retreats give us space to support one another, share our stories, and strategize meaningful policy changes that can better serve survivors locally and across the state.
This work is about transforming pain into purpose — and ensuring that every survivor’s voice helps inform our public safety policies.
Crime Survivors Speak isn’t just a new name. It’s a vision. It’s a vision for a future that uplifts our voices when it comes to safety and justice.
Because when survivors speak, change happens.
Our name and logo have changed, our heart remains the same. Thank you for being the most important part of our story.
