Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats are refusing to come to the table on a basic, commonsense, and clean funding measure. The House-passed continuing resolution (CR) would guarantee our troops receive pay, and SNAP benefits for the most needy can continue.

Congressional Democrats have even admitted that they are using the American people as “leverage.” It’s totally unacceptable to cause hardship to so many in order to try to score political points.

The Schumer Shutdown is hitting the most vulnerable first, and food insecurity climbs quickly when government services stall.
