If you’re anything like me, you haven’t been 100% satisfied with our city’s leadership, to say the least! But as we learned in 2018, we can only change our policies by changing who is in power.

When I launched my campaign against the head of the IDC, most observers said I had no chance. But Brad was with me from Day One -- not because of a backroom deal, but because he knew that together, we could make real, tangible, positive change in the lives of millions of New Yorkers.

And he was right. In the first two years since defeating the IDC and taking the majority in the legislature, my colleagues and I have been able to pass protections for tenants, codify Roe v. Wade into state law, pass a state DREAM Act, repeal 50a to hold police officers accountable, enact early voting… and we’re just getting started!
