John, you get a lot of fundraising emails. You know it, I know it.
This is not a fundraising email. It is an email about what Donald Trump was up to on Halloween, the day before food stamps ran out and health insurance premiums went up for millions of people.
He had a massive Great Gatsby themed party. I mean… What the hell?
He’s trying to fire thousands of federal workers right now, and all of them are going without pay. Yes, including the TSA and air traffic controllers. Military families are lining up at food banks. These people have no idea when the next paycheck is coming — and their boss is laughing in their faces.
I’ve been asked multiple times why Democrats aren’t negotiating with the president to reopen the government. Who are we supposed to negotiate with?
Trump just spent a week in Asia, and before that he was really focused on demolishing the East Wing of the White House. GOP leadership in the Senate won’t dare step out of line with Trump. Mike Johnson has kept the House out of session for FIVE WEEKS to stop the Epstein files from being released.
I guess if I could cop an invite to Mar a Lago we could pull his ear on things, but the $1 million membership fee to the President of the United States’ private club is a little steep.
It’s good to be Donald Trump. He’ll never know what it’s like to go hungry. He won't ever have to worry about whether or not he can cover a surprise trip to the emergency room. He’s made billions of dollars off the presidency. Must be nice.
I don’t know if you had already seen this, but I think a lot more people should know what the president is up to while the country falls apart.
Thanks for listening,
Ruben
