[link removed](2).png&u=1762190243000 [[link removed](2).png&u=1762190243000] With the marathon of fall Town Meetings across the Commonwealth nearing its end, we’re thrilled to report that 165 of 177 MBTA Communities are now either compliant or on the path to compliance [[link removed]] – that’s 93 percent of communities saying yes to progress.
This is a major victory for the pro-housing advocates who have been doing the work in each community to make the case for new zoning that will allow for more reasonably priced housing. It’s also a major victory for the residents now – and in the years to come – who will have the opportunity to stay in the communities they love.
We’ll continue to make the case for smart policies that will help us to address our housing shortage, including the MBTA Communities Act. Keep up the great work, all!
