VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump makes wild confession on national TV

In the middle of an eye-popping "60 Minutes" interview on CBS last night — where our deranged commander-in-chief bragged about CBS paying him "a lotta money," claimed he was "a much better-looking person" than NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, and literally gave host Norah O'Donnell on-the-air interview editing instructions — Donald Trump openly confessed to issuing a pardon for crypto mogul Changpeng Zhao, commonly known as CZ, a man he claimed to know "nothing" about. "OK, are you ready? I don't know who he is," Trump told O'Donnell. Despite "not knowing" CZ, Trump was comfortable pardoning the convicted criminal. Why? Because he was prosecuted by the DOJ during Joe Biden's presidency. For the record, CZ, the billionaire founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, PLED GUILTY to federal money laundering charges and was slapped with a four-month prison sentence and $50 million fine for his crimes. But wait, there's always more. Binance just so happens to ALSO be the crypto exchange platform that facilitated a $2 BILLION purchase of World Liberty Financial stablecoin in May. And who owns World Liberty Financial? Why, Don Jr. and Eric Trump. Imagine that.

Trump says ICE raid tactics of tear gas, smashing car windows "haven't gone far enough"
Another, uh, noteworthy tidbit from yesterday's absolutely bonkers "60 Minutes" interview with Trump touched on the wannabe dictator's ongoing immigrant purge, where Donald actually complained that ICE wasn't going far enough with the ol' ultraviolence. Apparently, firing tear gas canisters into protesters' faces at point-blank range, ramming moving vehicles with police SUVs, smashing car windows and dragging hysterical mothers into the streets while their children watch in horror, tackling elderly and disabled folks on the street, and kidnapping human beings in broad daylight and whisking them away to secret holding facilities for days and weeks on end just aren't doing the trick for our insatiable imbecile-in-chief. He'd like to see even more brute force from his cosplay bounty hunters at ICE — because "you have to get the people out" — but, wouldn't you know it, "liberal judges" appointed by Barack Obama and Joe Biden are tying his administration's hands. It is so good to be great again.

Time is RUNNING OUT to save Democrats' new voting maps in Virginia!

Jay Jones for Attorney General: Virginia’s Republican Attorney General just issued a ruling blocking the state legislature from amending the state’s Constitution, which would allow VA Democrats to redraw the maps and create new Democratic seats to counter the GOP gerrymanders in Texas. This means that next week’s Attorney General race just became a matter of CRITICAL importance for our democracy. If Democratic candidate Jay Jones wins, we could pick up several vital Congressional seats that could decide who controls congress in 2026. The polls are NECK and NECK. Will you rush a donation to Jay Jones and help push him over the finish line?

Top 10 US billionaires’ collective wealth grew by $698 BILLION in past year

Ready to see red on a fine Monday morn? From 1989 to 2022, the top 1% of US households gained 987 TIMES the wealth of a household at the bottom 20th percentile of income. Meanwhile, over 40% of the US population — including nearly 50% of children — are considered low-income, with family earnings that are less than 200% of the national poverty line. And at a time when Trump is literally ripping the White House down to the studs to remake it in his gaudy, gold-encrusted self-image, hosting Roaring Twenties-themed, tone-deaf galas for his rich friends, and spending hundreds of millions of OUR taxpayer dollars to make a fancy Qatari jet even fancier, we have unconscionable, new wealth disparity figures to digest. In just the past year alone, the 10 richest Americans' collective wealth grew by nearly $700 BILLION. For perspective, that's more than the annual GDP of all but 21 👏 countries 👏 in 👏 the 👏 world. Meanwhile, Donald's friends over at Fox New are literally hyping the resurgent sales figures for Hamburger Helper while their cult leader REFUSES to release emergency funds for SNAP benefits for 42 million hungry Americans. Let them eat cake? How about we just let them eat, period?

Take Action: Stop Ted Cruz's plan to criminalize protests!

Trump feels "badly" for UK royal family, says Andrew losing his titles over Epstein scandal a "terrible thing"
Yes, won't someone think of poor ol' Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the royal outcast who repeatedly sexually abused a teenaged Virginia Giuffre, who Jeffrey Epstein "stole" from Trump and trafficked to his VIP friends?! And the British royal family! What a terribly unpleasant ordeal they're being made to suffer! "I mean, it’s a terrible thing that’s happened to the family," Donald bemoaned. "That’s been a tragic situation, and it’s too bad. I mean I feel badly for the family." No such sympathies were expressed for the late Giuffre, who sadly took her own life earlier this year at the age of 41 after a lifetime of abuse, trauma, and suffering at the hands of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their incredibly powerful clients.

George Clooney says replacing Joe Biden with Kamala Harris "was a mistake"

George Clooney, who — you may recall — penned a sizzling New York Times op-ed last summer calling on then-President Joe Biden to abandon his re-election campaign following his disastrous debate with Donald Trump, says it was a mistake for the Democratic Party to replace Biden with Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket. Clooney said he had no regrets about writing his open letter asking his "friend" to step down, but insisted the party tasked Harris with an impossible mission: to run against her own record as Biden's vice president. An open primary, Clooney insists, would've yielded a stronger general election candidate to take on Trump. Yeah, well, we'll never know. Maybe in 2028 the Democratic Party will stiffen its spine and actually let the voters have their say? One can only hope.

Trump approval takes a hit, Dems open up big lead on generic ballot in new poll
The MAGA cult leader is currently 12 points under water with the American electorate, as the fallout from his destructive government shutdown extends into its second month, among other self-inflicted wounds. Democrats also hold a sizeable 8-point lead against Republicans on a generic congressional ballot, but with all the democracy-busting gerrymandering currently under way in red-state legislatures across the country, we're likely going to need to push that number into double-digit territory before next November to actually take back the US House. Luckily for us, Donald and his MAGA clown circus show no signs of steadying their course, and elections this week in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City may well portend a great reckoning to come for Republicans nationwide. Let's get to work, friends!

California strikes back against Trump’s gerrymander election-rigging plot

Vote Forward: Donald Trump and the Republican Party are terrified of losing the House in 2026, so they’re embarking on a national campaign to pass outrageous new gerrymanders in multiple red states to add more red-leaning seats. However, Governor Gavin Newsom of California is refusing to sit idly by and is working with the state legislature to redraw their state’s maps to add more Democratic seats — but to do it, they need voters to pass Prop 50 and give them the go-ahead to do so. Click here to help get the vote out, raise awareness, and fight back against Trump’s election-rigging shenanigans!

Ex-White House doctor calls out red flag in Trump health saga
A top doctor to three US presidents is calling bullshit on the MAGA administration’s claims that 79-year-old Donald Trump is still in the prime of his life. Jeffrey Kuhlman, who served as a White House physician under Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, sat down with The Hill Sunday to discuss the MAGA cult leader’s curious trip to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Last month, Trump visited the clinic for what his administration bizarrely billed as his second "annual" physical exam so far this year. Intrepid observers and amateur sleuths alike noted at the time that "annual" by definition cannot occur more than once a year, even if a month in the age of Trump understandably feels like an eternity. Kuhlman took issue with the clean bill of health Trump's physician gave him, noting that the four hours of medical care Trump received at the hospital — which included an MRI scan, accidentally revealed by Donald himself — were far from routine. Beyond that, any other tests beyond an MRI can been performed in just 15 minutes at the White House Medical Unit, a state-of-the-art facility which is fully staffed by physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and medics. One can only wonder, eh?

Google removes AI model after it accuses US senator of sexual misconduct
Google has removed one of its AI models from a popular developer platform after a US senator accused it of making up criminal allegations against her. Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee claimed that Google’s large language model Gemma had fabricated accusations of sexual misconduct when presented with the question, "Has Marsha Blackburn been accused of rape?" The response produced by Gemma allegedly included fake links to non-existent news articles about an incident in 1987 involving "non-consensual acts" with a state trooper. In a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Blackburn wrote, "This is not a harmless ‘hallucination.’ It is an act of defamation produced and distributed by a Google-owned AI model. A publicly accessible tool that invents false criminal allegations about a sitting US Senator represents a catastrophic failure of oversight and ethical responsibility." Google responded by saying that hallucinations are a known issue with smaller open-source artificial intelligence models like Gemma, and that it is committed to minimizing the issue.
