Rabin’s Realism, 30 Years Later

For many liberal Israelis, because Rabin was assassinated by the forces of darkness in Israeli society, his legacy must be primarily democracy and human rights. Those are the main missions of the Rabin Center in Tel Aviv. That was the tone of the 30-year commemoration of his death held in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv Saturday night.

1. Bills & Resolutions

(WE CARE ABOUT PALESTINIANS — BUT ONLY WHEN THEY ARE BEING KILLED BY HAMAS) H. Res.  839:  Introduced 10/28/25 by Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Crawford (R-AR), “Condemning Hamas for assassinating innocent Palestinians.”  Referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Reminder: Overnight on October 28/29th, Israel carried out massive bombing of Gaza, reportedly killing more than 100 Palestinians, including 46 children. But since they were killed by Israel, not Hamas — and apparently since these civilians were not part of groups that are acting as militia proxies aligned with Israel in its war on Gaza — the concern for Palestinians lives expressed in this resolution does not extend to them (just as it doesn’t extend to the thousands of Palestinian civilians Israel has killed in the wake of the 10/7/23 Hamas attacks on Israel). And if you have a problem with any of this, get ready to be labeled antisemitic!

(MAKE IT US POLICY THAT THE TEMPLE MT BELONGS TO ISRAEL & ONLY ISRAEL) H. Res. XXX: NOT IN THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD AS OF 10:30AM ET on 10/31/25 — Tenney (R-NY) press release 10/28/25: Congresswoman Tenney Introduces Resolution Affirming Israel’s Sovereignty Over the Temple Mount and Supporting Religious Freedom for All...
