November is National Homelessness Awareness Month. Food, housing, shelter, and clothing are all basic needs that children need to live and thrive. When a child’s basic needs are not met, they will seek other ways to get what they need to survive. Traffickers leverage this vulnerability to groom, recruit, and exploit children. Sometimes traffickers trick youth; other times, they tell them what will be expected. No child should have to be in that situation. As adults, we have a responsibility to keep children safe.
